Celebrating National Safe Motherhood Day on April 11th, 2024: White Ribbon Alliance, West Bengal Champions Respectful Maternity Care

 

Kolkata : In recognition of National Safe Motherhood Day on April 11th, 2024, the White Ribbon Alliance, West Bengal, is proud to announce a week-long celebration across the state. Held under the theme: "Play your Part: Together for Respectful Maternity Care," the initiative aims to raise awareness and build a collaborative effort towards ensuring respectful and high-quality maternal healthcare for all women in West Bengal.

 

This year marks a significant milestone as we acknowledge the State Health Department's dedication to celebrating National Safe Motherhood Day for the past one decades, primarily in collaboration with the White Ribbon Alliance, West Bengal Secretariat, and Child in Need Institute (CINI). This longstanding commitment to maternal health is truly commendable.

 

The White Ribbon Alliance, West Bengal, invites all stakeholders – healthcare professionals, policymakers, NGOs, and the general public – to join this crucial dialogue. Throughout the week, a series of events will be organized, including workshops, panel discussions, and awareness campaigns, fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration on fulfilling individual roles in promoting Respectful Maternity Care (RMC).
