Kolkata : At 74, Binoyendra Bhattacharya
exemplifies energy and determination. A former professional at BROOKE BOND
INDIA LIMITED with 22 years of experience, he transitioned to becoming a Mutual
Fund Distributor (MFD) and joined NJ Wealth in 2006. Today, he manages an AUM
(Assets Under Management) nearing ₹100 crore, alongside an impressive SIP book
of ₹60 lakh.
The journey, however, was not
always smooth. In his initial years as a mutual fund distributor, Binoyendra
hesitated to approach potential clients. This changed in 2015 when he decided
to fully embrace financial services, focusing primarily on corporate professionals—a
community he understood well. This shift in perspective led to remarkable
growth: from ₹6 crore AUM in 2015 to nearly ₹100 crore now, reflecting his
dedication and strategic approach.

has helped many retain their investments and enjoy financial security
post-retirement," he explains.
A family-driven business, his
daughter, Sharmistha Bhattacharya, joined him seven years ago. With a
background in corporate roles, she now manages her own client base of 100 while
supporting Binoyendra’s operations. Together, they cater to over 500 clients,
primarily corporate professionals, doctors, and lawyers in Kolkata.
"The beauty of this
profession is that money begins to work for you," Binoyendra reflects.
"It’s fulfilling to guide clients towards financial independence while
building a legacy for the next generation."
